RiseAD x Faheem Majeed = "UNITE"

Our latest collaboration is with Chicago-based artist, curator, educator and community facilitator Faheem Majeed. This new sunglasses collection is inspired by the vibrant colors of Majeed’s art from his UNITE series of exhibitions.

 

The six frame color designs featured in this collection were inspired by the images of shaved chips of recycled wood from the sculptures of Majeed’s UNITE Series. Majeed's sculptures were dyed with a solution he created with Kool-Aid flavors, including Blue Raspberry, Pink Lemonade, Grape, Lime, Orange, and Tropical Punch.  Although the surface of the frames are flat, the translucent sunglasses frames appear textured like the original wood. 

 

We wanted to create a collection of sunglasses that reflects the energy and excitement of Faheem’s work.  His work is incredibly inspiring, and we are excited to bring his vision to life in a new way.  We want people to wear these glasses and feel like they could take on the world by adding them to their wardrobe to compliment their individual style.

 

The frames are custom-designed with care and attention to detail in the U.S., and made from a high-quality, durable and lightweight premium blend first generation recycled polycarbonate.
