Rise Sport celebrates Latin American culture with a collaboration with Colombian visual artist Jamie Martinez under its Art & Design Collection.

Martinez studied art & fashion at Miami International University of Art & Design and The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York after coming to America from his native Cali, Colombia as a child. His current series of work deals with the validation of images and the interaction between art and technology.

He describes his process as fragmenting and deconstructing images geometrically into triangulated segments to explore its form, composition and structure, while creating texture and depth. The technique starts with technology and ends with paint. 

The collaborative work features Martinez's triangulated segments utilizing the colors of his native Colombia.

His work has been shown in Russia, Spain, Canada, Miami and numerous galleries in New York City. Martinez currently works from his Brooklyn studio and is currently with Galerie Protégé in NYC and Zener Schon Contemporary art in Northern California.
